STUDY TOOLS
You will find it very helpful to write out a tentative plan of what you will study in each session so that you don't waste time or become discouraged trying to figure it out at the weekend.
A suggestion is to try and include a variety of study types such as:
- prayer & meditation
- personal Bible study (be specific: topic, theme, character, book, chapter, etc)
- Bible marking
- listening to classes
- reading Christadelphian books
When to do these different studies should correspond to your anticipated alertness for the different study times (ie. early morning vs after lunch vs late evening)…
Your plan may completely change once the weekend starts, and that is ok! You might stumble upon a golden thread early on and spend the entire weekend chasing it down. Alternatively, you may hit a brick wall on one topic and need to change gears to keep your enthusiasm up.
What and how you study is completely up to you. No one will be checking on you and it is more about the focussed time, the mind immersed in spiritual things, and less about 'finding something new'.
